Get To Know the Counselor
Mary’s thoughts on Counseling:
“Everyone experiences difficulties in their life, and counseling can help get you through tough times. Helping clients become the best, most authentic version of themselves is something I strive for. I also hope to give my clients the ability to have compassion and gain insight on areas of growth and strengths within themselves.”
Outside of the Therapy Office:
“I love spending time with family and having game nights with my friends. I also enjoy learning new things (anything and everything), watching and listening to musicals, and spending quality time with my two cats.”

Philosophical/Theoretical Approach to Counseling
As a Humanistic, trauma-informed counselor, Mary creates a warm, empathetic space for individuals seeking healing, self-understanding, and growth. Rooted in the belief that each person holds the inner capacity for transformation, Mary approaches counseling with authenticity, deep respect, and a commitment to honoring each client’s unique lived experience.
Guided by trauma-informed principles, Mary prioritizes safety, trust, collaboration, and empowerment in the therapeutic relationship. She is dedicated to fostering a nonjudgmental environment where clients feel genuinely seen and heard as they process trauma, reconnect with themselves, and move toward healing.
Drawing from Humanistic and Emotion-focused modalities such as Person-Centered Therapy, EFT, and MBCT. Mary supports clients in exploring their identities, emotions, and personal values. They view each client as the expert of their own experience and serve as a compassionate companion on the path to self-acceptance and holistic well-being.
